Our Limited Partners
Our investments are limited to Accredited Investors,
as defined in regulation D as promulgated by the Securities and Exchange
Commission. Our investor network consists of successful entrepreneurs
and business professionals who understand and appreciate our investment
strategy.
Our investors rely on us to present to them investments
that have been fully vetted and prepared for them to make their decision.
We scour through hundreds of business plans and meet with dozens of management
teams to invest in one company. We negotiate the term sheet, prepare investment
documents, coordinate co-investors and offer full access to our technical
advisor. Investors may participate either on a deal-by-deal basis or through
a managed capital fund.

Our investment model was developed to allow us to operate in the capital gap.
Individual investors have the option of building their
own portfolio by reviewing and investing in individual opportunities through
Echelon Ventures, LP or committing capital to Echelon Ventures Capital
Partners, LP, which invests in all of Echelon Ventures portfolio companies.
The Firm works with a group of over 175 accredited individual investors,
among whom the Firm’s staff can frequently find experience that
is very useful in evaluating an investment opportunity. The Firm does
not seek control, making only minority investments, but through a preferred
stock that gives Echelon Ventures all the customary investor’s protective
provisions.
